Floor Area Definitions

  • Gross Area (G)
    The gross area of a whole floor typically represents the enclosed internal space up to the exterior face of the internal wall, including toilets, lift lobbies, columns, staircases, smoke lobbies, plant rooms and risers.

  • Lettable Area (L)
    The lettable area of a whole floor typically represents the enclosed internal space up to the exterior face of the internal wall, including toilets, lift lobbies and columns, but excluding common areas such as staircases, smoke lobbies, lift shafts, plant rooms and risers.

  • Net Area (N)
    The net area of a whole floor typically represents the enclosed internal space up to the interior face of the external wall for the exclusive use of the occupier, including lift lobbies, but excluding toilets, columns, staircases, smoke lobbies, lift shafts, plant rooms and risers.
